362 Visiting Friends

I wanted to share with all of you another out of the shop moment I had a couple of weeks ago. For those of you who attended the Lie-Nielsen Toolworks show in Cincinnati this is probably not as exciting. But for anyone who hasn’t had a chance to attend one, here’s a sneak peak at what you might find when you do.

No matter how low-key the location, the chance to take tools we’ve thought about out for a spin is priceless. Then when you throw in ongoing demonstrations into the mix, it makes for a great way to spend an afternoon.

Thanks to Jeff Miller for opening his shop, if you’re anywhere near Chicago…for me it’s a 3-1/2 hour drive…he offers some great classes on the weekends and occasionally during the week too. Check out Jeff, his amazing furniture and his class schedule at www.furnituremaking.com.

Also thanks to Jameel from Benchcrafted and Ron Brese of Brese Plane.

Enjoyed the video. I see Highland sponsered you. They are my favorite place here in Atlanta. Last Saturday they had a spring sale and I bought my first band saw, the 14″ Steel City.

Highland’s not quite a sponsor yet, but they’re a frequent schwag contributor and a wealth of knowledge.

I’m eyeing up one of those bandsaws myself!!
