Amazon comments are not very favorable. Seems that all other makers use 3/8" material (just like Milescraft) except Pat Warner who comes in at 1/2". So if the standard thickness is 3/8" one might as well get the Turn Lock system which has some great benefits with accessories - and don't expect any worse flexure than other manufactureer's offset bases?
