Disaster Relief Follow Up – The Results
Thank you to all who purchased items through the Shop Woodworking Store’s links yesterday (March 30, 2011) as a part of the F+W Media Japanese Disaster Fundraiser.
I wanted to share with you that we managed to almost double the amount of money I normally receive through this affiliate program in a single month. While the total amount wasn’t something that would cramp my hand if I were to write a check, the fact THERE IS an amount is what’s important!
Originally I had planned to donate only yesterday’s proceeds to the Red Cross Disaster Relief fund, but I’ve decided instead to add the entire balance of March’s payment. Even then, it’s not mind-blowing, but IT’s something and that’s all that matters!
As of right now the balance stands at just over $36. But considering F+W Media donated 50% of the sales from the total purchases yesterday this was a win-win to help to raise even more money.
Please consider making a purchase to help a great cause. The extra 50% donation that would’ve been made yesterday by F+W Media maybe over, but as I said before, all that matters is there is a balance to donate. Thank you!
