I haven’t done a great job this year of helping to promote Fine Woodworking Live 2013, but given the fact it’s practically just around the corner I would be remorseful not to remind all of you about it.
The chance to get together in a packed venue filled with fellow woodworkers is an opportunity no one should miss…well, I’m sure some spouses would disagree but you know what I mean!
Coming up on August 8 – 11, 2013 woodworkers from around the globe will be heading to New Haven, CT to meetup with the staff of Fine Woodworking Magazine and woodworking Masters like:
Michael C. Fortune
This year the schedule is even more jam-packed than previously and include both general sessions and a wide-variety of elective classes ranging from handtool techniques to finishing and so much more…including the FWW Live Build-Off!
Free to all, join a team or just look on and join the fun at FWW Live’s first-ever build-off. Teams will get a drill/driver, jigsaw, screws, bits, a measuring tape and a mission: to design and build a piece of furniture in 1-1/2 hours or so. We won’t announce the exact type of furniture until the night of the event. Winners will take home their tools, a feature on FineWoodworking.com, and bragging rights for a full calendar year!
Three-day passes are available for the full weekend and there are also optional one-day passes for either Friday or Saturday giving you as much flexibility time-wise and financially. One way or another you’ll find something that suits your needs.
Time and space is limited as it gets closer so don’t miss out! Sadly I won’t be in attendance again this year, STUPID DAY-JOB!!! But I’d love to hear how it went if you’re in attendance.
