Grab Bag of News

May 25, 2010

I know many of you are probably wondering what’s happened to The Daily Matt. The simple truth is, with the warm weather on hand and my schedule getting busier I’m cutting things back to a more manageable version. I’m planning to continue releasing videos on hand planes, especially considering it’s one of the most requested topics all of you write in requesting, and once we’ve covered that we’ll move on to the next most popular topic.

Of course if you have a question or topic request don’t hesitate to contact me by dropping me a line here at the website, or emailing me at I love hearing from everyone, and promise I’ll return your emails as soon as possible.

With that out of the way, it’s on to the news part of this post. As promised, Marc and I are doing our best to stick to our promise of recording a Live Wood Talk Online at least every other week. This week is one of those EVERY OTHER, so clear your schedules and make plans to be there. The next show is 9PM EST this Wednesday, March 26th 2010 at Hope you can make it!

Speaking of Marc, I’m sure most of you were aware of his very successful Woodworkers Against Cancer campaign. While the campaign netted a nice donation to the American Cancer Society, the woodworker who inspired the whole thing, Duane, has taken a turn for the worst. Without getting into the details here, visit Marc’s site to learn more about something you can do to help make Duane’s final wish come true. Click Here To Learn More.
