Years ago I inherited an amazing miter box and back saw from my grandfather. Looking back on it, I don’t think he ever really used it. Sadly…when it became mine I didn’t ever really use it either. As a result, it was sold for a dirt cheap price at a yard sale.
Inevitably it was shortly after that yard sale I discovered I liked this whole hand tool, quiet woodworking thing. In fact it turned out the few cuts I made with that miter box were so much better than the crappy little power miter saw I picked up in a bowling alley parking lot (true story I’m not proud of).
I now have a decent power miter saw that works really good, but I’m still drawn into the hand tool world. So a couple of years ago I bought a Nobex Champion Mitersaw.
I’ve had a few people ask me what I think about it but have yet to post anything in response. Imagine my surprise when the lastest email from Highland Woodworking drops in my email box and it features the latest video from Morton talking about my saw.
Not so surprisingly I actually learned a few things about the very saw I own. Thanks Morton!
