In case you’re NOT like me and my co-hosts who prefer their books ELECTRONIC there’s good news! The hardcopy versions of Marc Spagnuolo’s brand new title “Hybrid Woodworking: Blending Power & Hand Tools For Quick, Quality Furniture” are now available.
That’s right, the long awaited release of the printed version (which I have no doubt will become an important resource for so many woodworkers) is ready and waiting for you to order.
There’s a few different ways to pick up your copy of the book, either through The Wood Whisperer Store on Marc’s website (you can get an autographed version there), through Amazon.com or over at ShopWoodworking.com.
Regardless of where you get your copy from, or how you prefer it (digital or hard copy) you’ll find a ton of great information on ways to blend the best of both tool worlds (hand tool & power tool) in your shop.
As Marc points out, using real world scenarios from his own shop, understanding how to get the most from your tools will make all the difference in how you approach your projects and maybe even in your next tool purchase.
One aspect of Marc’s writing that I really appreciate is that he doesn’t emphasize there’s only one way to do a task, instead he explains in detail why his approach to it works best in his own shop and how it might work equally as well in your own.
I’m always leery of instructors and writers who approach a topic with the mindset of “my way is the only way and these are the only tools you can use to do it…”
As you’ll see for yourself, Marc is far from doing that in this book and actually takes the time to demonstrate options for just about everything.
If you’re looking for a reference book on blending the best of both hand and power tools in your woodworking, and one that gives options for some of the most common tasks along with also taking the time to explain the pros and cons of them…then this is exactly what you’re looking for.
