Ian’s Shoulder Plane Build

October 27, 20101 Comment

Man I hate it when someone beats me to a great idea, but…I’m willing to let this one slide! Fellow wood blogger Ian Mackay recently documented and posted about his experience building one of the new Hock Shoulder Plane kits.

I’ve had my eye on one of these for quite a while, but given that I’m about 18 months behind on building a Brese Plane kit imagine how long it’ll take me to get around to this one? Of course for the record, that kit is almost completed and when it is, I’m turning my sights on this one. So regardless of my lack of progress you should really checkout Ian’s posts.

He makes it look so easy you’ll have a hard time believing it’s his first attempt. Checkout both posts at Ian’s weblog www.woodcanuck.wordpress.com.

Wow Matt, you make it sounds almost professional.

Thanks a lot and I’m eagerly waiting to see how the Brese kit works out…I think that’s going on next year’s WIA shopping list.
