Mid-week tool sneak peek No. 20
With it being the time of year we typically stay in doors to avoid the cold I, like many of you spend a lot of time in the shop. This means creating a lot of sawdust and messes that could be tracked all over the house. This is why good dust collection is so important.
I can pretty much guarantee the first dust collection system we all own is a shop vac. And shop vacs come in all shapes, sizes and capacities. I’ve owned a few in my woodworking lifetime and one thing is for certain in a shop my size, smaller is better. Smaller shop vacs are easy to tuck away and surprisingly they can be pretty powerful.
I recently had a chance to try out the smallest shop vac yet that I’ve brought into the shop, the Rigid WD4522 Wet/Dry Vacuum. I was a little skeptical at first, but very impressed once I had a chance to put it to use. Checkout some of the features of the Rigid WD4522 and my full review in this ToolSelect.com video.
For a full rundown of all the specifications for the Rigid WD4522 Wet/Dry Vac, check it out at the ToolSelect.com website. There you’ll find a full 3-D look of the tool and more information.
One thing I forgot to mention in the review, and this is important for these cold days when we’re cooped up indoors, Rigid also makes a bag for this model. That means even more dust collection power than just the HEPA filter alone.
