Safety Week Wrap-Up

May 6, 2011

Another Safety Week is coming to a close but it doesn’t mean we should turn our backs on safety, even for a second. Safety is an everyday thing in and out of the shop. Safety is something not just for ourselves, but for those around us also.

If you haven’t had a chance to keep up with all the content these past few days do yourself a favor and pick a few to read or watch today, bookmark a few for later, and write yourself a note to remind yourself to follow through on it.

Of course some of the content will be information you already practice every time you enter the shop, but there’s nothing more important than reinforcing those good habits by revisiting them from time to time.

Here’s some great links for you to add to your list of must reads:

Highland Woodworking Blog – Daily tips for the entire week, submitted by readers
Tom’s Workbench – Agony of de Feet & More
The Renaissance Woodworker – Shavings Can Be Slippery
Stu’s Shed – F’ing Safety (Fences and Fallbags that is)
The Wood Whisperer – Be a Safety Hero!

This is just the icing on the cake of safety goodness! To find even more great links to safety posts and advice, head over to Marc Spagnuolo’s website
