Spoken Wood Podcast No. 114
Today’s episode was written by Ron Brese for the Brese Plane Weblog. It’s titled “Stainless? Yes! But which one?”, originally posted December 23, 2010.
Ron makes the most amazingly beautiful hand planes, so beautiful in fact, I now understand how sirens of ancient mariner lore could beckon a sailor to his death. While a Brese plane may not sing a song, the sound of whispy thin wood shavings coming from it, is unmistakable. They’re so thin…you can read through them! Then add in the beauty of the wood Ron uses in his planes…and I’ll have to get back to you on that description, words are escaping me right now.
