In case you haven’t noticed the slight absence of content so far this week, it’s because I’ve taken a last minute Spring Break Hiatus from the shows (Matt’s Basement Workshop, The Daily Matt and of also The Spoken Wood). I wish I could report I’m sending this post from some sunny beach someplace very warm, while sitting poolside and sipping a drink that contains more fruit than I get in a week. But the truth is, I’m pounding this short blurp out while inhaling my lunch at work after checking what time to expect this snowfall they keep predicting…
I hope all of you are enjoying this week to get caught up on all the old content from the past year or so, and are biting at the bit to get new and better shows coming up in the future…YOU BETTER BE OR I’M CUTTING THE STRINGS LOL!
In the mean time, I’ve mentioned that coming up on April 9-10 the Lie-Nielsen Tool Works show is rolling into the Chicago area and setting up at Jeff Miller’s studio. I’ve attended the last two years, and love every minute of it. It’s a great chance to meet with folks like Thomas Lie-Nielsen, Christopher Schwarz, Jameel Abraham of Benchcrafted, Ron Brese of Brese Planes and of course Jeff Miller – who I’m sure you’ve read at least one or two or more of his articles in magazines like Fine Woodworking or Popular Woodworking (not to mention he builds amazing furniture!!).
I’m planning on being there Saturday April 10 to hangout with all the above and to test my will power not to buy one of everything that’s not nailed down. I hope you can make it too! Drop me a line at EMAIL DIRECTLY to let me know if you’ll be there. I’m bringing some friends and hope to make some new ones also.
For a great look at the show from a vendor’s point of view, check out this post from Jameel at BenchcraftedClick Here…makes me wish the weekend would get here sooner!
