Looking for something to watch while you wait for the next episode of Matt’s Basement Workshop to be posted? Might I suggest you checkout the latest episode of The Highland Woodworker?

Episode 12 has recently been released, and according to the show notes you definitely don’t want to miss it.

This month’s “Moment with a master” features Mary May, professional woodcarver and online instructor at Mary May Carving.

If you’re not familiar with Mary already, I suggest you check out her website and online carving school at www.marymaycarving.com. Also checkout this great video clip of her teaching some basic carving skills at Woodworking America 2013 that I posted on YouTube.

Other great features in this episode include a visit with Nashville luthier Kipp Krusa to learn what goes into making a great guitar.

Glen Huey discussing what we need to know about shellac before buying it off the rack.

And then they introduce us to “The Tennessee Barn Project”. Two brothers who take down old barns and use the wood to make great furniture and more.

In other words, there’s a lot of information and inspiration jam-packed into this new episode that you won’t want to miss.
