  1. Hey Matt,
Love the website. Very informative. I am just a little scared tho. Just watched the half lap joinery using the dado blade. On 02-12-09 I lost part of my pinkie and ring finger on my left hand, using a dado blade. It was entirely my stupidity that caused it to happen. But what’s scaring me is the no throat plate on your saw, while using the dado blade. Please do an episode on how to make a zero clearance plate for your table. I want to see you do several more podcasts without re-coupe interruptions. If you’d like to check out my misfortune it is posted on lumberjocks. I beg you please make a throat plate for your dado.

Great video, very informative and practical. My only question is this: When the stones themselves get dished out, what do you use to flatten them?
    Thanks,
    Rick

    Matt,

I really like your videos. You are doing a great job. I have only gotten to the half-lap joint, but will eventually watch them all. I saw you over at Marc’s place (TWW) and decided to come check ya out. Glad I did.
Thanks for the information you are putting out there for us toothpick makers.

    Taylor

Hey Matt. These joinery videos are fantastic. I liked the bead detail for an exposed back. I just might consider the tongue and groove for a table top which originally was going to be a but joint … but for fun and practice why not do the tongue and groove?????
