George Vondriska of Woodworkers Guild of America www.wgoa.com was teaching a class at Weekend with WOOD titled “Logs to lumber”. As the name implies it’s about creating your own lumber from logs on a bandsaw. Not the big portable bandsaws (although that’s an option) but instead using a smaller bandsaw that you might have in your own shop.
As part of the lesson, George was demonstrating how he sets up the bandsaw and adjusts for drift. It was a great opportunity for him to show off how safe a bandsaw can be since there’s no threat of kickback.
