Woodworker’s Disaster Relief for Japan

If you receive email notifications from Popular Woodworking Magazine you might have already seen this. But if you haven’t, check this out. F+W Media (parent company of the magazine) is offering an one day opportunity to help raise money for the Red Cross Disaster Relief in Japan.

For Today March 30, 2011 50% of all proceeds from sales at all their eCommerce sites will be donated to the cause. To see the letter that was sent along with links to all of the eCommerce sites CLICK HERE.

Shop Woodworking is amongst those sites. That means today is a great opportunity to get a book, DVD or many other items you may have had your eye on for a while now and help a worthy cause. And since Matt’s Basement Workshop has an affiliate link with Shop Woodworking, I’ll donate 100% of any commissions I receive today from purchases made through our links to the Disaster Relief also.

If you do make a purchase some time today, and you use the links here to do it. Please let me know, so I can make sure to keep an eye out for it and ensure that money goes where it can do the most good.

As long as I’ve been woodworking and had the privilege of knowing all of my woodworking friends, I’ve never met more caring and giving individuals. Thank you!
