Year End Contests – Not Mine

December 30, 20101 Comment

With the end of 2010 only a day away I know many of you are like me and scrambling to finish up as much as you can to get a fresh start in the coming year. I have projects and plans I swore would be done and I’m sticking to my guns to complete them.

But in my usual bouts of procrastination I found a few things to help distract me from accomplishing my goals! Do you remember a while back when I told you about the great contest happening over at Highland Woodworking?

Highland Woodworking is giving away to a single winner a set of 10 Lie Nielsen hand tools:

# 60-1/2 Low Angle adjustable Mouth Block Plane
# 4-1/2 Smooth Cast Iron Bench Plane
Low Angle Jack Plane with 3 extra cutters
# 7 Cast Iron Jointer Plane
Dovetail Saw
Set of 5 Bevel Edged Socket Chisels

No purchase necessary to enter or win. Participants are entered into the drawing upon completion of the online registration at Highland Woodworking. Deadline for entry is Noon Eastern Time on Friday, December 31, 2010. Multiple entries are permitted.

A few more contests I found while avoiding anything that looked like work, were over at Fine Woodworking Magazine. The first of them is the ‘Show Us Your Drawers’ contest with Leigh Jigs.

The link to the Fine Woodworkig/Woodcraft Holiday Wish List
tells you that they’ve already closed entries on December 31, and
is then set up in a continuous loop so that the Back button just
keeps putiing you where you started. More superior performance from
    FWW (not). RD
